What is the size and weight limits of hand luggage?

 

Each person can only take one hand luggage during the flight, except for personal belongings. On all our flights, the maximum weight of the hand luggage of our adult and child passengers should be 8 kilograms and their dimensions should be 55x35x25cm.

Can I purchase extra baggage allowance except my checked baggage allowance?

 

Yes, you can purchase it for once. If your baggage weight exceeds your baggage allowance, an additional charge of 7.00 Euro per kilogram is requested at the airport.

Can I purchase seats for my other cabin baggage?

 

Passengers can purchase extra seats for their own comfort. This must be reported to the Corendon Ground Operations Unit at groundoperation@corendon-airlines.com for the bookings organization.

However, no extra baggage handling procedure is absolutely possible in the extra purchased seat under the safety rules.

How many kilogram of baggage allowance do I have on my flight?

 

Except for hand luggage, the total weight of all your cargo and luggage to be carried in the cargo section should not exceed 20 kilograms if all reservations are made through tour operators, except for the flights from Holland and Belgium with Corendon Airlines.

For reservations made through our corendonairlines.com website, the total weight of all your cargo and luggage to be carried in the cargo section varies according to the tariffs.

There is no free luggage allowance in our Eco tariff.

You have 20 kg of luggage allowance in our Flex tariff.

You have 30 kg of luggage allowance for the Flex tariff, special for our flights to Izmir, Kayseri, Ankara, Edremit Adana, Trabzon, Diyarbakır.

You have 25 kilograms of luggage allowance in our Premium tariff.

What are the items that are not allowed to carry in my baggage?

 

As per the regulations, it is forbidden, with some exceptions, for passengers to put items into the airplane which fall within the scope of the dangerous goods category, as it poses a risk to flight safety.

Substances falling into the dangerous substance category are: Explosives, gases, flammable substances, oxidizers and organic peroxides, corrosives, infectious and toxic substances, radioactive materials and lithium batteries, other dangerous substances such as environmentally hazardous and magnetic substances.

Hazardous substances specified in the table below can be carried along with the passenger within certain rules.

Other restrictions arising due to national and international regulations (such as liquid and customs restrictions) should also be taken into account, except for the following conditions. For details, contact servicecenter@corendon-airlines.com.

Your baggage can be opened by the authorities for security reasons. Corendon Airlines shall not be liable for any damage that may occur if it is locked.

     

Apple MacBook Pro

With the decision of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA);

Apple MacBook Pro laptops purchased between 2015 and 2017 are not allowed to carry as baggage in the Cargo section.

Passengers can use their laptops inside the airplane, but using a charging adapter is prohibited.

The laptop should be closed during the flight.

What should I do if I have precious items in my baggage?

 

Your baggage with precious items may not be accepted into the cargo compartment of the airplane. Can you insure my baggage?

 

Corendon Airlines shall not be responsible for fragile or perishable items, items of special value such as jewelery, money, table, carpet, curtain etc., precious metals, computers, personal electronic devices, valuable documents, bonds and other valuable papers, business documents, medical documents, passports, samples, other identity documents as well as other items that are forbidden to to carry on the airplane and items or luggage delayed or damaged due to any security check.

How many kilogram is free baggage allowance for baby passengers?

 

Free baggage allowance and seats are not allowed for infants (2 years and under). Only on flights from and to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, babies have 10 kilograms of baggage allowance.

Babies are not entitled to hand luggage allowance, however, one bag is accepted on the plane provided that it contains diapers and food for babies and does not exceed the dimensions of the hand luggage. Our cabin crews provide free hot water for powdered food. Totally 10 containers (bottle/baby bottle) of ready-made food are allowed to take into the cabin, each of which does not exceed 100 milliliters.

About Baby Seats and Carrying Baskets
1 stroller per baby (including twin stroller in case of twins) or 1 baby seat/baby carriage basket is allowed to carry free of charge only in the cargo section.

Baby seats and baby carriage baskets are not allowed in the cabin due to safety rules. It is not possible to fix baby seats or baby baskets in the cabin.

It is allowed to carry free of charge a second stroller or both a stroller and a baby seat, but the weight of either of them is deducted from the total baggage allowance of adults.

Baby travel beds are carried free of charge, but their weight is deducted from your total baggage allowance.

How to hand baggage over at the airport?

 

Baggage handling at the airport is only possible during the check-in. It is not possible to do this one day before.

We do not provide any service regarding luggage transportation assistance at the airports. Regarding this issue, you should contact with the airport.

What happens to the extra baggage allowance I purchased when my flight is cancelled?

 

All reservations and changes are managed by tour operators and travel agencies, except for flight tickets purchased from Corendon Airlines. On flights allocated to the Tour Operator, Corendon Airlines has no connection or influence on tickets and passenger reservations.

Changes regarding flight time or destination point and cancellations of booked flights are managed by the parties mentioned above. Therefore, Corendon Airlines cannot be held responsible for any changes.

You can get information from your Travel Agency about whether, before arriving at the destination point, there is any stop-over for your flight.

Corendon Airlines undertakes that it shall fulfill the requirements of passenger rights specified in SHY-Passenger EC261/2004 regulations, in case of any problems, delays or cancellations that may occur except for compulsory situations that may emerge beyond the limits of its discretion.

What documents are needed for my medication?

 

Our guests are kindly requested to have a doctor's certificate (not older than 1 month) with them for needles, strong medicines (for which a red prescription has been issued) and similar medical products. It is the passengers’ responsibility to obtain information on the safety and customs rules of the country they will depart from or arrive at and to act in accordance with these rules.
Corendon Airlines accepts no responsibility for medication and similar medical products that are not allowed on board for safety or customs reasons.

When should I go to the airport?

 

If you have not been informed of any other time to be ready for the flight, you must be in front of the counter area for check-in at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before the flight time.

When should I be at the flight gate?

 

For all our flights, you must be at the flight gate at least 25 minutes before the departure time of the airplane. When doing your timing, remember that it may take 25 or more minutes to reach the gate in some terminals.

From 48 hours prior to the date of your flight until 5 hours prior to departure you can check-in online.

What do I need to know about the flight schedule and flight time changes?

 

Flight times reported in the flight schedule are not an integral part of the transport contract. It can vary between the date of publication and the date of booking or travel. Corendon Airlines will inform you about the currently scheduled flight time before accepting your reservation request.

Unless the exact flight time is specified when making the reservation, Corendon Airlines is obliged not to start the flight at a predetermined departure time, but to carry out the transportation on the day specified on the reservation.

As soon as the flight times become exact, you will be informed by Corendon Airlines. Corendon Airlines will endeavor to keep changes in flight hours at a minimum level and keep you informed of changes as early as possible. Announced flight times may be subject to reasonable changes due to flight operation reasons.

Corendon Airlines is authorized to change the airplane, to transfer the transportation business to the third party in whole or in part, provided that it remains responsible in the future for the booked transportation.

In case of a change to another airline company, you will be informed about the change and the identity of the other airplane company as soon as possible, when boarding the airplane at the latest.

Can I smoke during the flight?

 

You cannot smoke on any Corendon Airlines flights. It is forbidden to smoke products such as cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, pipes, cigars and tobacco in all departments on the plane and during the flight.

What is the non-compliant passenger? (For flights to Turkey)

 

According to the regulation (SHY_IPC) on administrative fines to be imposed by by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation published in the Official Gazette on 29.01.2013, it is the information regarding fines to be applied to the passengers who violate certain rules on our flights as of 01.01.2014.

What is the non-compliant passenger?

The person who acts improperly and endangers the order or safety of the passenger or personnel during the period from boarding to landing, damages materials in the airplane, threatens or violates the crew's warnings and regulations applicable in the field of civil aviation is qualified as a non-compliant passenger and a fine is imposed on him in the following cases.

Situations Where Administrative Fines Shall Be Imposed

Continue to operate portable electronic devices despite repeated warnings.

Behaviours threatening safety and security of the flight despite all repeated warnings, such as not sitting down on his seat, not fastening the seat belt, not closing the overhead compartment lid, discussing with other passengers or cabin crew, stopping the cabin crew by force to do their duty, verbally abusing the cabin crew and other passengers, not following the instructions given by the cabin crew.

Article no. 5 of the Related Regulation
(1) In the event that the non-compliant passenger continues to commit one of the violations determined in this Regulation despite repeated warnings, a minutes regarding the violation shall be recorded by three persons consisting of the captain of the airplane and two cabin officers of the airplane. In this minutes, the name and surname of the non-compliant person, if he is the Turkish citizen, his T.R. ID number and, if detectable, his address information are recorded. If he is a foreign passenger, his name, surname and passport number, and if detectable, his address information is included in the minutes.

(2) Before keeping a record of the non-compliant passenger, a verbal warning should be made to him that his action is against the instructions of the SHGM, and if he continues to maintain his unlawful behaviour, the minutes shall be kept for him and a fine shall be imposed on him in accordance with this Regulation.

(3) The minutes about the non-compliant passenger is sent to SHGM with the joint signature of the quality system manager and the responsible manager after the examination and reconciliation of the relevant airline by its own personnel, who signs the minutes. SHGM may request additional information and documents from the related airline and relevant parties when necessary.

(4) The responsibility of proof in objections to the penalties imposed on the non-compliant passenger, belongs to the relevant airline.

Is my pet accepted on the flight?

 

Pets are allowed on board with passengers only. For the transportation of pets, passengers are responsible for the country entrance conditions, vaccines, customs rules and similar practices.

Corendon Airlines only allows to transport pets such as cats and dogs.

Pets must stay on the ground throughout the flight. When purchasing the ticket, it is strongly requested to inform that you will travel with your pet.

Due to the legal restrictions of the countries visited on Corendon Airlines flights, the minimum age limit of the animals concerned should not be less than 3 months.

For special reservations for the carriage of pets, the Special Conditions Request Form must be filled in and a notification must be made at least one week before the flight.

It is at the passenger's responsibility to comply with the current regulations (export and customs regulations) and to keep all necessary documents (border documents, official veterinary health documents, vaccines) available.

Pets can only travel with the same airplane, in accompaniment with a passenger.

On Corendon Airlines flights, the pets that will be transported in the cabin and in the cargo area vary depending on the airplane type and are limited. Therefore, a confirmation must be received 24 hours before the flight.

Pets over 8 kilograms are transported in the cargo compartment. Fee tariff is given below.

For flights from/to Netherlands and Belgium, pet transportation fee in the cabin is 30 €, pet transportation fee in the cargo department: 40 €.

On other flights, pet transportation fee in the cabin: 20 €, pet transportation fee in the cargo department: 40 €.

The transportation of purebred animals listed below is not allowed:

The prohibition of carriage only covers purebred animals and crossbred breeds formed by mating among them.

Guide Dogs:

Guide dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers can travel free of charge in the passenger cabin, if capacity permits. Payment terms for traveling in the cargo section are as stated above.

The requirements for guide dogs are as follows;

• The guide dog cannot occupy any seat in the cabin and shall not disturb other passengers. It is positioned in a place other than the emergency exit.

• Guide dog must wear a muzzle.

• The disabled passenger must have all the necessary medical documents related to the guide dog.

Corendon Airlines shall not be responsible for being lost, delay, illness or death of pets that are prevented from entering or crossing a country.

It is at the passenger's responsibility to learn about the practices in the destination country and to plan according to this.

Is there a weight limit for the acceptance of pets?

 

The pets that will be transported in the cabin and in the cargo area vary depending on the airplane type and are limited. Therefore, a confirmation must be received 24 hours before the flight.

Is there any age limit for the acceptance of pets?

Due to the legal restrictions of the countries visited with Corendon Airlines flights, the minimum age limit of the animals concerned should not be less than 3 months.

Until how many months of pregnancy are pregnants allowed to fly?

Our pregnant passengers are allowed to fly until the 36th week of their pregnancy without any need for a report. Passengers at whose pregnancy a period of 36 weeks and over is completed cannot be admitted to the flight, even if they have a valid medical report. This situation is determined as more than 32 weeks in multiple pregnancies. All pregnant passengers over 24 weeks will be requested to fill out guarantee form that can be used as a report at our check-in counters.

If necessary, the responsible flight crew has the right to request a medical report from the passenger in line with flight safety and security.

Note: Our pregnant passengers are required to give the correct information to the airline personnel during the flight admission.

Can children under 12 fly alone?

In order for children under 6 to fly, a companion must be accompanied by him.
Children between the ages of 6-12 can be admitted to the flight if the following conditions are met:

The child should be accompanied by a legal and authorized companian to the departure airport. The accompanying companian should provide the flight documents required for the child and the guardianship document (certificate of guardianship to be given by child’s legal parents for unaccompanied passengers under 12) to the relevant personnel at the departure airport during the passenger admission. The unaccompanied minor must also be picked up by an authorized companion at the destination point.

Unaccompanied passengers are at the responsibility of the staff of airline handling company from the moment they are checked in at the counter. Responsible personnel will transfer the unaccompanied passenger to the flight cabin crew upon the start of the boarding process of the flight. Authorized companions who deliver the unaccompanied passenger must wait at the airport until the plane takes off.

An extra one-way fee of 25 Euros is requested for the Unaccompanied Passenger.

Max. two unaccompanied minors under the age of 12 can be accepted on our flights.

What are the procedures for passengers with reduced mobility?

 

The passengers with reduced mobility are the passengers with limited capability of movement due to their physical disability (sensory or movement system), mental disability, age, illness, or other disabilities. Among the passengers in this category, only passengers who receive wheelchair service are accompanied by the ground staff after completion of the check-in process until the plane and after landing.

Corendon Airlines pays special attention to disabled and sick passengers. In order for the disabled or sick passenger to travel smoothly, the support adapted to the needs of the person should be planned in advance. Our passengers having such conditions must give information to the agency from which they purchased their tickets or by filling out the Special Conditions Request Form on our website and obtain confirmation that they can be admitted to the flight. In case of less than 48 hours to the flight, such requests may not be met by Corendon Airlines and passengers may not be accepted to the flight.

In accordance with the safety rules, our passengers with disability and reduced mobility cannot sit in the seat rows around emergency exit of the airplane. The seats of our disabled and mobility-restricted passengers whom seats are allocated except for the seats designated during check-in are replaced by our cabin crew according to the safety rules. Our passengers with reduced mobility can only travel on window seats (A and F seats). Other seats can be allocated according to the physical condition of the passengers depending on the assessment of the airport check-in staff.

Passengers with wheelchair: The wheelchair users are served according to the disability degrees stated below.

WCHR: (Passenger with slightly reduced mobility) Needs help when boarding / landing in the airport building, can get on the bus on the airport apron, needs no help on stairs, no help is required when sitting on the seat and getting up and going to the toilet.
WCHS: (Passenger with very limited mobility) Needs help when boarding / landing in the airport building, cannot get on the bus on the airport apron, needs help on stairs, no help is required when sitting up on the seat in the cabin and getting up and going to the toilet.
WCHC: (Completely immobile passenger) Can use a passenger seat with upright backrest, cannot make long journeys alone without his companion. For example, sitting / getting up on the seat in the cabin, going to toilet - paraplegia / hemiplegia, multiple sclerosis, etc.
If requested by the passenger, wheelchair service is provided free of charge by Corendon Airlines.

For wheelchair and its types;
Wheelchairs can only be transported by filling in the Special Conditions Request Form on our website 48 hours prior to departure time and providing information and upon confirmation of Corendon Airlines.

Dimensions for wheelchairs to be carried in the cargo section should not be larger than 86*86*86 cm. It is at the passenger's responsibility to fold the wheelchairs to be loaded on the plane before the flight.

Ground handling officers do not have the necessary equipment to disassemble batteries or chargers. For this reason, it can only be transported if it is ready for transportation.
In order to prepare these and similar items for the flight, application must be made to the counter at least 2 hours in advance.

The battery details of all battery wheelchairs must be reported to servicecenter@corendon-airlines.com, and it must be confirmed that they are not classified as dangerous goods.

Wheelchairs with non-spillable and dry batteries or non-spillable wet batteries can be transported in the cargo compartment of the airplane, provided that the battery is disconnected, securely attached to the wheelchair and its poles are insulated.

If the wheelchair cannot be loaded upright, stacked, secured and emptied, the battery must be removed and taken to the luggage compartment separately. For transport, the battery must be placed in a plastic bowl or container, thereby preventing contamination and wear of the cargo compartment.

Carrying your “Scoot Mobile” style wheelchairs depends on the statement in your doctor's report. If you cannot declare the report, you will be asked to pay 100 €. For the validity of your doctor's report, the medical report should be issued no later than one month.

Within the scope of Corendon Airlines' “Barrier-Free Airline” policy, wheelchairs are transported free of charge for PASSENGERS only who can provide a REPORT.

Hearing Impaired Passengers:

Our hearing impaired passengers are given priority during check-in and boarding. There are also small blocks in the cabin to enable our hearing-impaired passengers to communicate better with the cabin crew on the plane.
Our hearing impaired passengers are not seated in exit aisles and emergency exit gates for flight safety.

Visually Impaired Passengers or Partially Sighted Passengers:
Safety rules are explained by one-to-one briefing to visually impaired or partially sighted passengers by the cabin crew. In addition, these passengers are provided with security cards that contain safety rules prepared with Braille Alphabet on the plane.
Visually impaired or partially sighted passengers are not seated in exit aisles and emergency exit gates for flight safety.
Guide dogs are carried free of charge. A guide dog accompanying to a visually impaired passenger can be kept in the passenger cabin. The relevant conditions for this are as follows:

Guide dogs are taken on board on the condition that they accompany the visually and hearing impaired passengers.
Guide dogs should have the appropriate leash and muzzle. During the flight, the muzzle and leash should not be removed.
The dog must sit at the owner's feet and the passenger is seated on the side of the window. They are not allowed to sit on seat rows around the emergency exit. Guide dogs must have a valid vaccine card.
No transportation service will be provided to the passengers who have the following conditions:
Passengers with chickenpox, infectious hepatitis, scarlet fever, diphtheria, tuberculosis and similar airborne or contagious infectious disease.
Passenger who had a heart attack up to eight weeks before travel,
Patients who are connected to air pressure-operated or electrical devices, since they are prohibited to be on board.
Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol at a level which endangers the safety of the airplane.
If the passengers do not declare their special conditions before the flight, they shall be responsible for all risks.

Handling Company’s Personnel who work at the counter and think that passengers have the above conditions can request a doctor-approved report indicating that the passenger is "convenient for flight".

Can I use my own oxygen cylinder during the flight?

No, unfortunately, you cannot use your own oxygen cylinder on Corendon Airlines flights. However, we can help you with the following options by making two extra oxygen cylinders available to you in our airplane.

• You can make a registration before your flight by filling out the Special Conditions Request Form. It costs 150 Euros.
• The requests containing your Portable Oxygen Concentrator devices must be notified to servicecenter@corendon-airlines.com and a confirmation must be obtained. Not every device is suitable for the transport conditions and can be classified as dangerous. If it is deemed appropriate, you can take the device with you on our plane and use it during the flight. Please make sure that your device is fully charged and has sufficient charge before your flight starts.

Option 1:  There are two extra oxygen cylinders on Corendon Airlines flights. In order for your demand regarding oxygen use in the plane to be positive, you must have a signed, sealed doctor report stating how many liters of oxygen you need per minute. This report must be issued no later than 30 days.
Option 2:  In case of any need for oxygen, you can take your own Portable Oxygen Concentrators into the airplane and carry them during the flight. You must apply for this request by filling out the Special Conditions Request Form.

My flight has been cancelled, what should I do?

 

All reservations and changes are managed by tour operators and travel agencies, except for flight tickets purchased from Corendon Airlines. For flight tickets allocated to the Tour Operator, Corendon Airlines has no repsonsibility or influence on tickets and passenger reservations.

Changes regarding flight times or destinations and cancellations of booked flights are managed by the parties mentioned above. Therefore, Corendon Airlines cannot be held responsible for any changes.

You can get information from your Travel Agency about whether, before arriving at the destination point, there is any stop-over for your flight.

Corendon Airlines undertakes that it shall fulfill the requirements of passenger rights specified in SHY-Passenger EC261/2004 regulations, in case of any problems, delays or cancellations that may occur except for compulsory situations that may emerge beyond the limits of its discretion.

What do I need to know about travel documents?

It is mandatory to provide all travel documents and visas requested from you for your trip. It is your obligation to comply with the rules in the country of departure, arrival and transit during your travel. Corendon Airlines shall not be responsible for any problems that may arise due to non-compliance with relevant legislation, instructions and laws, negligence, and failure to provide the necessary documents.

In accordance with the rules in the country you are traveling to, you should have the entrance and exit documents, health documents and all other documents with you before traveling and if necessary, you should submit samples of these documents.

If your baggage seems to be repairable, a repair invoice in English or Turkish from the repair shop,

Purchase invoice of your baggage (in case of failure to submit its purchase invoice, maximum half of the baggage price shall be paid and this amount shall not exceed the one way ticket fee).

Patient, Disabled or Incapacitated Passengers

Patients / disabled passengers shall only be transported upon submission of a written medical report issued by the passenger's doctor or an official doctor at the airport.

The medical reports provided must be in English.

No transportation service shall be provided to the passengers who are under the following circumstances:

For example: passengers whose infectious disease such as open tuberculosis, infectious hepatitis, scarlet fever, diphtheria, chicken pox, etc. is in the incubation period.

Passengers who have had a heart attack, stroke, and vital operation in the past eight weeks.

Passengers who are in need of medical treatment and are connected to air or electrical devices that are not allowed to board the plane.

Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol who can endanger the safety of the airplane.

"Incapacitated persons". Passengers who do not have an approval or confirmation document which will be issued by a doctor for their carriage by airway, and indicating that there is no obstacle to carry them by air transport.

“Disabled persons”. All disabled passengers who are not “incapacitated” and whose transportation is not subject to the confirmation or approval of any doctor.

If passengers do not declare their illness before the flight, they shall be responsible for all risks that may occur.

Emergency Exit Areas

 

Passengers who will optimally assist a possible evacuation from the airplane and will not prevent such evacuation are seated next to the emergency exit gates. Persons who may prevent the flight crew from doing their job, block access to emergency equipment or make it difficult to evacuate the airplane should inform the cabin crew about this.

Seat rows around emergency exits are not given to the following people:

Passengers with limited mobility and mental problems as well as old and sick passengers and those who have other disabilities

Physically or mentally handicapped passengers who cannot move quickly when needed

Passengers who have too much eye or ear problems to hear the instructions given to initiate an emergency evacuation

PNR (Passenger Name Record) code is an abbreviation of Passenger Name Registration. It is more commonly known as a reservation number. It is given to you when you make an optional reservation and/or buy a ticket. The PNR code consists of numbers and letters. With this number, you can print out your ticket and make your change and cancellation transactions.


The PNR code is the easiest way to access your flight information. To access your information, you need to know your PNR code or ticket number. PNR code is sent to you via e-mail when you buy tickets via Internet. The same code is located on the printed ticket.

What is my flight fare and what does it consist of?

 

The flight fare is collected in return for the transportation service of the Corendon Airlines from the departure point to the destination point.
