Corendon Airlines Celebrates 12 Years in The Air

Corendon Airlines, established in 2005 as part of Corendon, one of the largest tourism groups in Turkey,  celebrates its 12th year with all its employees.
Corendon Airlines, in countries such as Holland, Belgium, the Scandinavian countries and Germany immediately associated with Turkey and who thanks to the number of transported passengers significantly contributes to Turkey’s tourism, held a reception at its headquarters in Antalya to commemorate and celebrate its first flight. 
 “We are an international Airlines, transporting 2,5 million passengers a year”
Corendon Airlines’ Co-founder and General Director, Yıldıray Karaer, reminded that the very first flight was executed 12 years ago from the Sabiha Gökçen airport to Amsterdam. In his speech during the celebration he said: “Our first flight was on April 12th 2005 at 11.00 hrs, flight number CAI 855 from Sabiha Gökçen airport to Amsterdam with 136 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Since that first flight with the Boeing 737-300 registrered as TC-TJA, we have landed in the present. Nowadays we annually realise a booking average of more than 90% and we transport 2,5 million passengers. We fly to 170 airports in 41 countries and we have developed into an international airline company. I thank everyone present here and also the ones who are not with us anymore for their support and share in this already 11 years ongoing success and I hope that also this 12th season will be prosperous and successful for our company and our country.”
