Corendon Airlines hosts the 64th European Civil Aviation Conference for General Directors!

From 27th tot 31st August 2015 the 64th European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) meeting was held in the “Blue Bosphorus Hotel Bodrum by Corendon”. This meeting for General Directors of European Civil Aviation was organised by the Turkish Directorate for Civil Aviation. 41 ECAC member countries were represented at the meeting. 79 Representatives participated in the meeting, among which Bilal Ekşi, General Director Civil Aviation (Turkey) and Haydar Yalçın, assistant General Director (Turkey), the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), the ICAO Director Paris, the representative of the European Commission and the General Director of Eurocontrol.
Dr. Özkan Poyraz, assistant Under Secretary for Maritime Affairs held an opening speech regarding issues such as the relation with the ICAO,finding  solutions for problems between ECAC member countries, and more influence of ECAC in the European civil aviation. During the meeting two cooperation agreements concerning the training of civil aviation personnel in line with ICAO regulations were signed by Dr. Özkan Poyraz and Dr. Fang, General Secretary of ICAO.
In the free time between the meetings the participants and their spouses participated in several excursions organized by Corendon to introduce them to the beauty of Bodrum. For many of them it was their first visit to Bodrum and during excursions to Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, Turgutreis, the Bodrum castle and the museum they enjoyed and were impressed by the geographical beauty and the historic importance of this city.
In the course of the gala evening held in The Blue Bosphorus Hotel on 29th of August, Bilal Ekşi, General Director for Civil Aviation, in front of all participants, addressed a special thanks to “the Corendon Group for organizing and hosting this meeting and representing us in an excellent way”. On the occasion of the “Zafer Bayram” (Day of Victory) on Sunday 30th August a Turkish evening was organized with a folklore performance and fireworks, for which the foreing guests had great interest.
