Turkey's First Boeing 737 MAX 8 Has Landed In Antalya!

Corendon Airlines became the first company in Turkey to receive a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. A brand new aircraft of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 series, which is currently the focal point of interest all over the world, was officially handed over to a team of Corendon board members and guests in a ceremony at the Boeing Complex in Seattle on May 16th, 2018, and the aircraft completed its first flight as part of the Corendon fleet when it landed in the international Airport of Antalya. In line with tradition, the new Boeing aircraft was welcomed by a shower from water cannons at the airport in Antalya. This inauguration flight marked the landing of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Corendon colors at Antalya Airport for the very first time. The first commercial flight of Boeing 737 MAX 8 will be on 19th of May in the Netherlands.
Corendon Airlines, initiator of many innovations in Turkey’s civil aviation, flew a Boeing 737 MAX 8 for the first time to Antalya airport. In the American city of Seattle, Corendon Airlines collected its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from the Boeing Renton Factory and with this aircraft, which is currently the focus of world interest, completed its first flight to Turkey. The aircraft with registration TC-MKS on its tail left Seattle in the evening of May 16th and made a stopover in Amsterdam. The MAX 8 passengers on board were welcomed with flowers from Corendon’s Holland staff. After a two-hour stop, the flight continued on to Turkey. On May 17th 2018, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 completed its first flight in Turkey at Antalya airport, where Corendon Airlines Turkey is headquartered. The aircraft was traditionally welcomed once more with a shower from water cannons and had thus completed its first flight in Turkey in the colors of Corendon Airlines. 
737 MAX 8, will make its first commercial flight on 19th May from Antalya to Eindhoven in the Netherlands and will start its scheduled flights.

Sky Interior cabin design of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will offer the passengers an unforgettable flight experience with the LED light illumination in the spacious cabin. The aircraft’s power comes from CFM International LEAP-1B engines, specially produced for the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. They are fuel-saving and fly 8% more productively than their competitors. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 has an operating range of 3.550 miles (6.570 km) and on average it is able to fly further than the Boeing 737 Next Generation series. Fuel consumption is 20% lower making the CO2 emissions of the new series lower too. Compared to its competitors, it is eco-friendlier and quieter by 40% when compared to today’s single-aisle aircrafts. The Boeing 737 MAX series features a new aerodynamic design and the “winglets” contribute to fuel saving by 1.5%.
The production of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 series started in December 2015. 95 different companies worldwide have ordered approximately 4300 of this fastest-selling model ever in Boeing history. The first flight of the MAX model, listed at a catalog price of about 110 million dollars, took place on January 29th, 2016. Production of the previous Boeing model, the Boeing 737-800, which began in 1997 and of which 4773 were delivered by the March 2018.
