Can I travel with my pet?

Pets accompanied by their owner are allowed onboard the aircraft. It is the responsibility of the passenger/animal owner to carry the necessary travel documents, and to obtain information about animal vaccinations, transportation and custom rules and entry regulations for the animal in the country of destination.

The only pets accepted by Corendon Airlines on planes are cats and dogs.

During the flight, the pet must sit on the floor in the aircraft. It is important for you to notify during the booking procedure that you will be accompanied by a pet.

Due to the laws of the countries of destination, the minimum age of pets on Corendon Airlines flights is 3 months.

No later than 1 (one) week prior to departure you should fill out and submit the Special Requests Application Form to reserve a space for your dog.

The passenger needs to comply with all applicable exportation and customs regulations and should submit all necessary travel documents, veterinary health statements and vaccination certificates.

Pets can only travel inside the aircraft if accompanied by a passenger.

In line with current EU transportation rules, and as far as the capacity allows, 2 pets can travel inside the cabin of Corendon Airlines aircraft and 4 pets can be transported in the hold compartment. Pets need to travel in waterproof, lockable cages, or travel bags of max. 55 x 35 x 25 cm and a total max. weight of 8 kg.

Pets heavier than 8 kg are transported in the ventilated hold compartment. The fee per travel is:

Aircraft transportation by is not permitted for the following breeds of dog:

  • American Pitbull
  • American Staffordshire Terrier
  • Staffordshire Bullterrier
  • Bullterrier
  • American Bulldog
  • Dogo Argentino
  • Fila Brasiliero
  • Kangal (Karabaş)
  • Kafkas Shepherd Dog
  • Mastiff
  • Mastino Napoleta

This is applicable to thoroughbred dogs, as well as non-true-bred dogs subject to breeding.

Guide Dogs:

Guide dogs accompanying a blind passenger will be carried free of charge and can be accommodated in the passenger cabin if the capacity allows this. If the guide dog is transported in the hold compartment, then the above mentioned conditions and fees are applicable.

For transportation inside the cabin, the following rules apply:

• The dog shall not occupy a seat and will sit in a place where passengers will not be disturbed. The dog shall not sit near an Emergency Exit, nor by the aisle.

• The dog must wear a muzzle.

• The passenger must carry all required animal health certificates and documents.

Corendon Airlines is not liable for injury or loss, sickness or death of the dog, or any delay, in the event that it is refused entry into, or passage through any country, state or territory.
