Lanzarote Beach Caletón Blanco
Caletón Blanco

Charming coves of white sand and black lava rock dotted together make up Caletón Blanco. On the north of the island, it can be a little windy but is great for those with smaller children thanks to natural splash pools that appear thanks to the sea tide.

Lanzarote Beach Papagayo Beach
Papagayo Beach

Nestled between lava rocks, Papagayo Beach is one of the most famous beaches and a must visit on the Island. White fine sand and crystal-clear waters make the beach perfect for those who like to sunbathe, swim, snorkel or like to have a mid-morning or afternoon stroll during their relaxing days. The beach is made up of a series of little beaches in a shell-like bay that creates calm waters. One to add to your Lanzarote to do list.

Lanzarote Beach Playa de Famara
Playa de Famara

Backed by breathtaking cliffs on the northwest coast of the island is Playa de Famara. The beach is a mixture of fine sand and volcanic rock. The long beach can be fairly windy at times due to its location and this means that the sea offers perfect waves for surfing. Not recommended for those that can't swim.

Lanzarote Culture

Culture
Lanzarote Culture Casa José Saramago
Casa José Saramago

Casa José Saramago, was the home of the famous Portuguese writer José Saramago who won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1998. The writer died in 2010 and his house became his refuge over the last years of his life. The house feels like it's been untouched since then, as if he still lives there. The library is particularly poignant and gives you a real sense of the life he lived. For all your literary fans this is a place not to be missed

Lanzarote Culture La Cueva de los Verdes
La Cueva de los Verdes

Four miles of Lava tubes make up La Cueva de los Verdes. These tubes were formed thousands of years ago with the eruption of Monte Corona. One mile of the caves with their majestic colours and dynamic shapes can be explored by visitors. Such an interesting sight to see and one not to be missed.

Lanzarote Culture Lagomar Museum
Lagomar Museum

César Manrique and Jesús Soto, famous artists and architects designed and built the famous Lagomar Museum. Built around a cliff of hardened lava rock it appears that the building just emerges out of the volcanic crater. The interior boasts lava tube corridors and cave rooms. The architecture is very much like a theme of Arabian nights. It's recommended that you plan your visit to be there over sunset to witness the amazing colours when the sunset paints the rocks red and creates a stunning sunset view.
