The cycling Tour of Antalya, in which 25 teams with 175 participants from 20 countries competed, finished on Sunday with a ride from Side to Lara. During the last leg of the Tour of Antalya, Corendon Airlines, as official sponsor of the event, arranged a great surprise for all cyclists. The moment the cyclists crossed a bridge a Corendon aircraft flew over providing an unforgettable moment and a novel experience during this 4 day cycling competition.
The 146.2 km ride from Side to Lara rounded off the 430 km Tour of Antalya, organized by the International Cycle Commission. 175 competitors participated in this category 2.2 cycling race.
Corendon Airlines, as official sponsor, provided a highlight on the last day of the tour. In cooperation with ICF-Airports and with the approval of the Governor of the Province of Antalya, Corendon Airlines gave cyclists and watchers an unforgettable memory when the Corendon aircraft flew above the bridge while the cyclists crossed it. This seldom performed action marked the end of the last leg of the tour. The general ranking of the Tour of Antalya was topped by Artem Oveckhim of the Marathon-Tula team.
