The shallow calm water is ideal for a cool dip or a swim and the beach is popular with families with children. The beach is also ideal for water sports including windsurfing, canoeing, jet ski, sailing and surfing to name a few. Thanks to the beautiful white sand it's also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Sea Urchins

Sea urchins are definitely not for the faint hearted as they don't exactly look edible however, never say never and there something to be tried at least once as they're very famous and popular across the island. They even have sea urchin festivals. An adventure in itself but, a must try and one to add to your Olbia to do list.

Sebadas is a Sardinian sweet with local flavours. The dessert is made by filling crispy deep fried pastry with pecorino cheese and dipping them in honey. They are a staple desert all over Sardinia and especially prepared around Easter and Christmas.

Pozzo Sacro Sa Testa, (the sacred wells of Sa Testa) a beautiful fascinating mystery near Olbia airport. The holy well of Sa Testa is divided into 4 parts: a circular courtyard, an entrance hall, a staircase and a tholos room (false dome). For many years archaeologists and experts have examined the wells to try and understand why they were built the way they were however, nothing is certain. The wells appear to have been designed to represent the female sexual organs and show the entrance and exit of the afterlife. Built underground made of stone dating back to the bronze ages they were built to worship water. An interesting place to visit.
