Baggage operations

General

Wear your mask when taking a taxi, train, or bus to or from the airport before or after your flight and for the duration of your time at the airport. Please note that in order to travel with Corendon Airlines you are required to wear a mask for the duration of your flight.

In order to experience a more contact-free flight bring with you only the essential items you will need for you trip.

The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test is known as the most accurate diagnostic test with a high sensitivity of indicating whether the virus is present in a person’s body. When entering some countries, it has become mandatory for passengers to have a negative test within a designated time frame set out by the specific country to be able to travel.

If you are unable to make your flight because you are suffering from Covid-19, your ticket will be returned to an Open Ticket* if you submit a request and a copy of your report to us 4 hours before the flight.

*Open Ticket: Your open ticket is valid for 365 days. The price difference DOES NOT APPLY for open tickets if you change it to a date up to “7 days before or 7 days after” the date of your open ticket and keep the departure and return countries the same (you can choose a different airport). If you would like a return of your open ticket, please contact "servicecenter@corendon-airlines.com".

 

Before flight

  • Online check-in service up to 5 hours before the flight,
  • Personal protective material support including masks and gloves,
  • Self-service baggage drop-off (*Available at airports offering online check-in service),
  • Additional free seat reservation option for your comfort.
  • Due to Covid 19 measures on our flights: for all fares, cabin baggage is limited to 1 piece of hand luggage (max.55x40x25 cm) and 1 piece of personal equipment (small hand bag /baby bag, briefcases or laptop) (max.40x30x15 cm). Items such as musical instruments, camera, jewellery and diplomatic courier files will be accepted in the cabin.
  • In accordance with the circular published by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation; passengers who have diseases such as heart or respiratory problems or asthma that will prevent the use of masks for a long time or passengers who are on autism spectrum can travel with a face shield by submitting a valid medical report. We kindly request our passengers traveling under these conditions to wear face shield as of boarding.

All planned cancellations have been processed, if there are any further flight time changes/cancellations you will be notified by e-mail and SMS. You can also check the Flight Status page for up-to-date information about your flight.

Boarding

At airports that offer Online Check-in service we now have exit gates to allow fast and contact free boarding.

Boarding is now done in small groups to maintain social distance.

During flight

Corendon Airlines will ensure each aircraft is given an intensive disinfection and a more detailed cleaning of the aircraft before each flight.

All passengers over the age of 6 years old have an obligation to wear a face mask on board the aircraft for the duration of the flight to protect yourself, our crew and other passengers.

We are providing further and ongoing training for our team in hygiene regulations.

We will provide additional hygiene products such as disinfectants and cleaning wipes on the aircraft. All aircrafts will be disinfected before boarding.

Corendon Airlines deliver meal and beverage services however, with the pandemic these services have slightly changed in line with the ever-developing health measures for in-flight services. Please see the below table for the current catering loading procedures:

Medium risk routes Pre-packaged food will be served approx. 30 minutes after take-off and a waste collection will be made shortly afterwards.
High risk routes Pre-packaged food services and bottled water provided pre departure either at the gate or during boarding, may be placed on cabin seats.

To maintain a more contact-free flight experience, all unnecessary printed products will be removed from the seat pockets, and Corendon in-flight magazine will not be printed for a short period of time.

If seats are required to be changed in line with social distancing while boarding or after boarding is completed the mass and balance limits of the aircraft need to be taken into account.
