New rules for travellers from Turkey to Germany

All passengers who are traveling from Turkey to Germany as of August 17th, 2021 are required to fill in the Online Passenger Information Form. It is mandatory to complete the form before the flight.

Required steps that our passengers traveling from Turkey to Germany should do:

1- All passengers are required to submit a negative Covid-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours before their flight. Tests accepted are: antigen (from an official institution or hospital within 48 hours); PCR, RT-LAMP and TMA (72 hours). Those passengers who cannot show a negative Covid-19 test result will not be accepted onto any flights to Germany. A negative PCR test result will not be requested separately from those who submit a document issued by the relevant country's official authorities to prove that they have been vaccinated at least 14 days ago "and/or" have had the disease in the last 6 months before the entrance to Germany.

2- It is mandatory to fill in the digital passenger information form before the flight: Please see Online Passenger Information Form.

3- You should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight.

 

*   AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) (2 doses), Moderna (2 doses), Pfizer-BioNTech (2 doses) and Janssen (1 dose).
** The last positive test result should have been taken within maximum 6 months and should be older than 28 days.
***If you can show a negative test result on day 5 of quarantine you are then exempt.

 

When you return from Turkey, if you have a vaccination certificate or have had the disease, you will be exempt from the quarantine restrictions (10 days).

The following conditions are sufficient to benefit from the 10 days quarantine exemption:

  • Fully vaccinated and 14 days have passed since the second vaccination on the day he/she entered Germany; or
  • Completely recovered from Covid-19 infection, and the last positive test result should have been taken within maximum 6 months and should be older than 28 days.
  • It is possible to show a negative test result on the 5th day of quarantine to be able to exempt from it.

Accepted vaccines are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) (2 doses), Moderna (2 doses), Pfizer-BioNTech (2 doses) and Janssen (1 dose).
